Personal Training Course - Structure

  1. Complete Module One

    Written Assessment

  2. Complete Module Two

    Written Assessment

    Theory Test

  3. Complete Module Three

    Written Assessment

    20 Hour Work Placement (to practice fitness testing and exercise instruction skills)

    Practical Assessment of Client Screening and Exercise Instruction (completed on campus or by video)

    Attend optional Fitnation Practical Clinic

  4. Complete Module Four

    Written Assessment

    Practical Assessment of Training for Client with Specific Needs (completed on campus or by video)

  5. Complete Module Five

    Written Assessment

  6. First Aid

    Can be completed at any time but is required prior to issue of certificates and registration

    Must be Level 2 First Aid or equivalent or above

  7. Register

Students will need to have well developed reading and writing skills to complete the course.

To apply for registration, students will need to either:

  • Complete the Certificate III & IV in Fitness; or
  • Apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if you feel your past studies or employment experience matches the learning outcomes of the units of competency. Please contact us for an RPL application form prior to enrolment or download from our website.
