Practical Placement & Assessment

Course actions

Students are required to complete an 80 hour placement in an appropriate exercise rehabilitation environment like the following:

  • Medical clinic – working under the supervision of a medical / health professional (eg. Physiotherapist, doctor, chiropractor, exercise physiologist)
  • Rehabilitation hospital – working under the supervision of a medical / health professional (eg. Physiotherapist, doctor, chiropractor, exercise physiologist)
  • Fitness centre or personal training studio – working specifically with clients (who have been referred by a medical / health professional) requiring exercise rehabilitation due to medical conditions or specific injuries.

Students are assessed through the completion of case study scenarios provided at strategic points throughout the course.
